Question.
. Wha t arms had Syud Kasim and
his companions with them ?
When Syud Kasim gave vou a
horse and you joined him and" came
here, what was your intention ?
What was your intention in comino-
hither ?
If Syud Kasim was coming to make
submission, why did you and Syud
Kasim plunder the two men with
donkeys and run after the horseman ?
Now, it is understood from your
statement you came with Syud Kasim
to these places as a highway robber.
Krom the time you joined the Syud
Kasim in highway robbery, whom
did you plunder ? State the truth.
Oh ! Shah Iliza,Syud Kasim having
on several previous occasions plun
dered property and carried it to their
side, you confess that this time the
said Syud Kasim gave you a horse
and brought you hither, and that you
plundered those two dockeymen. It
appears that you have previously
come to this side and plundered and
done mischief State the truth.
Did Syud Kasim die from that
wound ?
Where did your other companion,
Mahmood, go ?
Answer.
Syud Kasim had a pair of pistols, a
spear, and a kameh. Syud Wali had a
pair of pistols, and Mahomed a pair of
pistols and a spear. ^
When I met Syud Kasim and his
followers he had a spare animal with
him ; they told me—“ Ride this spare
animal and come with us and we will
give you money.” I rode with them
and came hither.
Syud Kasim told me that he was
coming to make submission.
We went with Syud Kasim to Syud
Hoossein’s house and did not find him.
Then Syud Kasim told us.—“ This year
these places are dear, now we will
plunder some property and in next
spring I will come and make submis
sion.” Upon this we came and plun
dered the donkeys, and they ran after
the horseman, but did not "catch him,
and while we had the intention of plun
dering others, they seized me. When
coming in this direction Syud Kasim
had promised to give me 12 karans,
whether he should plunder property or
not.
As I stated, this is the only time that
I came here with Syud Kasim. First,
we plundered those two men and took
their donkeys and property; afterwards,
Syud Kasim recognized them and
returned their property and donkeys;
and they ran after the horseman to
plunder him, but did not overtake him.
I dont know of property having been
plundered from this side. This is the
first time I came with him.
I was occupied with myself. Syud .
Kasim fell to the ground in a bad state,
kicking with his feet.
He went to his village, Kuratoo.
