Mahomed Khan has been appointed Governor of Koh Gelooyee, Bushire,
iiashtee, and Dasbtistan. Mahomed Khan has deputed Mahomed Reffee Mirza
o represent him as Governor at Bushire. He, it is said, intends sending his
gomashtah, Mahomed Kereem Beg, as his deputy to Koh Gelooyee.
It is reported that Jemaul Khan, son of Houssein Khan, Dashtee, has been
murdered by his enemies, and that at present the Khans of Dashtee are at
varianee with each other.
It is believed that this year the “abkaree” in Kars has been more than
last year, and that on this account the harvest of the Shoothoobee is very small,
and that the Syfee will not be favorable on account of the “ abkaree.” On
this account prices of grain have risen, although this is harvest time.
The Wali has decapitated six thieves and murderers, consisting of
Kasbkaees and others. °
Orders have been received from the capital that the Zil-oos-Sultan has been
removed from the government of Pars and should proceed to Teheran His
Royal Highness is now at Koodyan and preparing to leave for Teheran. The
Mali is independent Governor of Kars.
There is much disturbance in the suburbs of Shiraz and in the roads, so that
very few venture to move about, especially between Shiraz and Kazeroon, where
Hajee Morghee with ten or twelve sowars have blocked up the road and carrv
away merchandize; up to date the Government have not been able to check
nm. it is currently reported that a merchant consigned his property to Haiee
i org iee himself, that he may take what he liked, and permit the rest to go on
