Samuel Hennell encloses an abstract of occurrences in Shiraz and its vicinity during December 1849. The abstract, received from the Agent at Shiraz [Mirza Mahmood] discusses a number of appointments and punishments. It reports that Moollah Ahmed, a confidential attendant of the Prince, has been dispatched to Bushire to Sheik Nasir [Governor of Bushire]; if the Sheik arranges for the payment of one year's revenue he will receive a khelaut [khelat] and will be reappointed Governor.
