Letter regarding matters in Muscat including slave dealing in Soor [Sur] and the routes taken to ring slaves from the African Coast as well as Merewether's suggestions on how this trade could be stopped.

The letter also reports that there has been no news from Hormuzd Rassam, but that Merewether hopes to hear some in a few days.

The letter is incomplete as the final folio (or folios) are missing.
