men, and in proof of nis statement produced a oerti-
fioate purporting' to nave been recorded by the Pro
vost of "Tundee certifying t.ae British Nationality of
one John Brown, wnom tne applicant claimed as nis
father. A copy of tnis certificate is on my record
and J. attach a duplicate of it.
When producing tnis document, Mr Brovm. stated that ne
had oltained It in order to avoid aoiipu. sory military
service in rermany, wnich ne would otherwise have

The file is arranged in four volumes.

Foliation: This file has been split into four parts.
