The German Consul hay notified to the local Government
that he has re-engaged Mirza Husein as his dragoman. This
man, as has been noted before, is a notorious intriguer.

88. Herr Krumpeter of Messrs Wonckhaus and Co-who returned
to Bushire from Lingah in the last week of Dscmebsr went to
Dilwar in the first week of January to interview the firm 's
absconding debtor, Haji Muhammad Hasan^ (vide para 975 of 1910)*
It is thought that he does not consider Haji Muhammad Hasan
solely to blame in the matter and has suspicions thattMirza
Husein of the German Consulate (vide para 976 of 1910) is
mixed up in the affair.

172. Haji Muhammad Hasan the absconding debtor, referred
to in para 88 came to Bushire on the 20th having received
the necessary assurances from Messrs Wonckhaus and Co. Herr
Krumpeter of this Company having been apparently convinced
that the real offender in connection with Haji Muhammad
Hasan's defalcations was Mirza Husein German Consulate MiKxx
Mynshi, tried with the German Consul's concurrence to arrest
the Mirza in his house on the Slat, but failed in the attem
pt as Mirza Husein having got wind of what was passing es
caped by the back door while Herr Krumpeter was forcing his
