The El Khadra , a dhow A term adopted by British officials to refer to local sailing vessels in the western Indian Ocean. owned by Mubarak bin Khamis, a subject of Muscat, was seized by Italian authorities off the coast of Ras Hafun [Raas Xaafuun] on charges of arms trafficking.
The volume includes the negotiations between the British and Italian Governments to find an acceptable resolution to the situation. A settlement was reached and the boat returned to its owner in July 1911.
