Letter from Sir Harford Jones, at Tauris [Tabriz, Iran] to Stephen Babington Esq., in Charge of the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. at Bushire, acknowledging the receipt of a letter dated 29 July regarding the seizure of the Persian Monsieur Robbio, charged by Mr. Babington at Bushire for holding despatches and his papers, and noticing that he should have handled the situation more respectfully towards citizens of Sovereign states.
