Mr. uatnwaite said that it was relevant tnat the
Company's application for a concession in -^atar raised
certain political issues which could not be disposed of
without consultation with India and the Resident, which
would take time, e.g. the issue of jurisdiction, which
with the Company

force of certain dormant articles of the Sheikh's Treaty.
