Letter from Stephen Babington, Secretary to Government of Bombay From c. 1668-1858, the East India Company’s administration in the city of Bombay [Mumbai] and western India. From 1858-1947, a subdivision of the British Raj. It was responsible for British relations with the Gulf and Red Sea regions. , to Lieutenant William Bruce, Resident at Bushire, transmitting a dispatch sent to Francis Warden, Chief Secretary to the Government at Bombay, from C Russell, Acting Resident at Hyderabad dated 22 October, which includes a copy a letter sent on the same date from Russell to John Adam, Secretary to Government, on the subject of the visit of the two Persian agents Mirza Sadick [Mirza Sadiq] and Syed Ally [Said Ali] to the Court of Hyderabad, and their request for hospitality and protection from creditors.
