Letter regarding Syed Torkee [Turki bin Said] and his intentions towards Muscat.
The letter also discusses the Political Agent A mid-ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Agency. at Muscat, Lieutenant George Andrew Atkinson, who Pelly describes as being 'inclined to excitement' and who has on several occassions, which are described in the letter, nearly compromised the British Government.
The letter concludes with Pellys thoughts and opinions on Salim II bin Thuwaini, the current Sultan of Muscat.
