titles Amm-i-Khalvat, and
Wazir
Minister.
-i-Makhsu. Son of
the late Mirza Has.mm Khan of the Ghaffari family.
Was private secretary to Nasir-ud-Din Shah till
H.M/s death, then acted in similar capacity to
Muzaffar-ua-Din Shah. In 1896 appointed Minister
of Court (

). From 1896-1903 Minister of
Justice, From January 26th to June 17th, 1906
acted as Governor-General of Fars (special commis
sioner). Governor of Tehran September 1906, and
Minister of Court March 1907. Appointed Gover
nor-General of P^erman, but did not proceed.
Governor-General of Fars from February 18th 1908
to June 5th 1908, when he was succeeded by Prince
Zill-us-Sultan. . Was appointed Governor-General
of Kerman after the coup d’etat of 1909, but recalled
by ths new Government August 1909, (above from
Churchill’s “Persian Notables”). In the troublous
times when he was in Fars, which raged around Jhe
assassination of Qawam-ul-Mulk III, hardly had the
influence and capacity to make a strong Governor,
but was friendly.
