This black and white photograph, taken from a window in Hazam Fort in Oman, shows the courtyard of the fort, and the sandplain behind it. In the foreground of the photograph are several men in traditional Omani dress, carrying rifles or swords, walking through the courtyard. The black line down the middle of the photograph is one of the bars of the window.


Printed label on the reverse of the image: ‘No.10. Looking down from Hazam Fort.’
