This black and white photograph shows a view of Muscat taken from the bay in front of it in the image. There are three ships in the bay, and smoke is visible from guns that have just been fired from the Mirani Fort. The Sultan’s Palace is the building with the flagstaff in the photograph.

Inscriptions:

Printed label on the reverse of the image: ‘No. 5 Muscat, with Mirani fort and Sultan’s Palace.’
