The file contains correspondence concerning summaries for Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , Tibet, the Northwest Frontier, the Northeast Frontier, Baluchistan, Persia, Aden, and the Native States of India. These summaries were being brought up to date following the end of Curzon's time as Viceroy of India. The correspondence, which mostly comes from Louis William Dane, Foreign Secretary to the Government of India, gives updates on the progress and completion of these summaries.
