Sir,
I sua directed by i4r« Secretary Amery to
acknowledge the receipt of your letters of the 21st of
September, (Ho.B5552/lG/91), and the 2nd of October
(3So.36894/10/91}, regarding the desire of the Sultan of
Hejd to send delegatee to India, 3gypt and other Moslem
countries, and to request you to inform .^r.Secretary
Chamberlain that, ao far as haiaya and Ceylon are
concerned, he concurs with the view expressed by the
Government of India that the inclusion of Hafiz iabha in
the mission would not be acceptable.
2. X am to request that, in the event of the
Sultan 1 s wishing to pursue the matter, it may be
definitely ascertained whether it is proposed that the
delegation should proceed to Malaya and >eylon and if
what itinerary is suggested.
