Anonymous versified abbreviation of a treatise on the sine quadrant (الربع الجيوب), probably Wāfīyat al-maṭlūb fī rubʿ al-juyūb (وافية المطلوب في ربع الجيوب), by Abū Zayd ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Qādir ibn ʿAlī ibn Abī al-Maḥāsin Yūsuf al-Fāsi (أبو زيد عبد الرحمن بن أبي محمد عبد القادر بن علي بن أبي المحاسن يوسف الفاسي, b. 1631, d. 1685). The author's name is mentioned in a note on f. 40r of the present volume.

Begins (f. 50r, lines 14-18):

الحمد لله الذي قد جعل لعلم تقدير الزمان سبلًا

ثم الصلاة وسلامه مدا كل الزمان طيبًا مجددًا

على نبينا رسول الله والآل والأصحاب أهل الجاه

وهذه في ربع الجيوب منظومة وافية المطلوب

والله أسئل الإعانة على ما رمتُه مختصرًا مسهلًا

Ends (f. 51v, line 19- f. 52r, line 2):

...والحمد لله على ما أرشدي

ويسئل الله جميل الغفران عبيده الفاسي عبد الرحمن

مستشفعًا بمصطفى خير الأنام عليه أفضل الصلاة والسلام
