A map of Persia [Iran], the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq, and surrounding countries.

Elevation of land is indicated by different colours, with green indicating the lowest elevation and orange and purple indicating the highest. Depth of water bodies is indicated by different shades of blue, with a darker shade indicating deep water.

Hydrology, railways, and relief are indicated in black with different line patterns. Shipping lanes are also indicated in black, with distances between ports in miles. International borders are indicated in red, with dashed lines indicating undefined or disputed borders.

The map was produced by John Bartholomew and Son Ltd, Edinburgh.
