The file contains correspondence regarding arrangements to be made for patients with mental health issues who require hospital treatment, following the transfer of Aden from the Government of India. The correspondents are the Aden Chief Commissioner (Bernard Reilly), the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. , the Under Secretary of State for the Colonies, and the Government of India Foreign and Political Department.
It is agreed to continue the practice of sending Indian and Arab patients to India, with a small payment to be made. The lack of accommodation for European patients is noted.
