Reference your Memorandum N0.IU66 dated
Uth May 1950.
The Bahrain Government has not at present
any legislation to cover cases about Trade
Marks. There would however be no objection to
issuing a notice on the lines suggested by the
firm referred to in your letter in the Government
Gazette. This would be free of charge.
Should there be judicial proceedings at
some future date as a result of this notice if
the parties were foreigners the case would be
dealt with in the
Agency
An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent.
or Joint Courts but if
they were Bahrain subjects I do not see on what
grounds legal proceedings could be brought.
I should like to know your views on this
matter. Perhaps we could get a draft of the
proposed notice for consideration.
