Government separately, as also on the other Bahrain questions,
as they come up, which I discussed with Colonel Loch. I
hare confined this despatch to an appreciation of Shaikh
Hamad* s character, as this,of course, now more than ever since
he is actual Ruler, is an all-important factor in Bahrain
affairs.
