Letter accepting the invitation to Government House and discussing matters in Rajputana.
The matters discussed include Pelly's visit to Jodhpore [Jodhpur] and his observations on the architecture of the Jodhpore fort; his full itinerary including work to be done at Ajmere [Ajmer] owing to the difficulties with Saunders; a visit to Sambhur [Sāmbhar] lake where the Salt question interests him; meetings with Chief's and Thakoors [Thakurs]; his handling of matters in the agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. and the courtesy and respect with which he is treated; the weather and abundance of crops; and acknowledging a note from Baring on the promotions of Captain Donald Robertson and Adelbert Cecil Talbot.
