Letter regarding the Maharana's [Maharana Shambhu Singh] death and lack of an apparent successor; his thoughts on Suckut Sing [Sakat Singh], and on the Maharana and other's reference for Suckut Sing's son Sinain Sing [Sajjan Singh] (also spelt as Singain Sing) as successor.
The letter also informs Aitchison that the Viceroy's enquiries after the Maharana's health were communicated; discusses potential troop movements should trouble arise following the Maharana's death and on concerns over Sinain Sing and the lack of any preferable successor.
