Remarks by Pelly regarding the slave trade in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. .

The remarks give details of the type of slaves being brought to the Arabian coast, landing points being used, information regarding the slave trade being passed on to Pelly by his political agents, how the repositioning of naval forces could be used to restrict the export of slaves to the Gulf area and the need to ensure that opposing the slade trade does not negatively impact on other trading.
