Letter regarding the list of all individuals in custody or under police surveillance and explaining the delays and difficulties in compiling the information requested by Pelly.

The letter also discusses an old legacy theft case from the Gaekwar (Malharrao) which related to the suspicion that the property in Bombay belonged to one of the Gaekwar's subjects and states that a list of the property in question had been requested in order for enquiries to be made but there had been no further progress with it.
