Content: Letter, with copy, reporting on his meeting with the Maharaja (Dungar Singh), Lal Singh's objections to going to Jeypore [Jaipur] owing to his concerns over matters of etiquette and proposing instead to meet Colonel Pelly at Ajmere [Ajmer]. The letter goes on to discuss the advantages of conversing on Bickaneer matters in person with Pelly and requesting that he (Burton) meet Pelly at Ajmere too.
