In this statement, James Dow, Assistant Surgeon at the Residency A diplomatic office of the British Government established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. , gives his verdict on the cause of the death of the seaman of the Eliza (referred to in the previous item as Belall Seed). Dow states that he died following a sudden attack of dysentery.
