Letter reporting on the hostilities occurring between Sheikh Sultan ben Suggar [Sultan bin Saqr] of Ras El-Khymah [Ra's al-Khaymah], and the Sultan of Muscat Syed Soweynee [Thuwaini bin Said]. Hennell discusses the maritime manoeuvres of the Sheikh's and Sultan's fleets, the latter not being bound by the British Government's Maritime Truce treaty (1842). A translated letter from Sheikh Sultan bin Saqr, dated 6 June 1850, is enclosed with Hennell's correspondence, giving his side of the story.
