Letter giving instructions on the handling of affairs at the Residency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, established in the provinces and regions considered part of, or under the influence of, British India. and in Bushire whilst Pelly is travelling to Riyadh. The instructions outline which letters should be opened and which should be left until he returns and also what to do with any matters of interest that arise in the letters that are opened.
