This file contains correspondence between British officials regarding British policy in Kuwait. Specifically, the correspondence relates to discussions regarding the construction - by the British military - of an emergency port at Um Qasr on the Kuwait-Iraq frontier and the expansion of existing port facilities at Kuwait.   • 'A note on the Establishment of a Port at Umm Qasr and its Effect in Peace Time on the Trade and Prosperity of Kuwait'. January 1942 (ff 146-149).
