The letter is enclosing a couple of communications concerning the shipment of native sulphur [sulfur] to India. It recommends that the Resident only ships sulphur on the company's cruizers or country ships in future. Two enclosures:
1. A copy of a letter from Edward Hutchins Ballassis [Bellasis], Secretary to the Military Board to Francis Warden, Chief Secretary to the Government, Bombay, dated 30 March 1815.
2. A copy of a letter from James Inverarity, Agent for Gunpowder, Bombay to Captain Edward Hutchins Bellasis, Secretary to the Military Board, Bombay. The letter reports that the bugulah [ buggalow Large trading vessel. ] Dorabee Naguodah Abdul Rahime , which was requisitioned to transport sulphur to India, has not arrived at the port of Bombay; it is believed that the missing vessel may have been taken by pirates.
