In this letter Arnold Burrowes Kemball, Resident in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. , acknowledges the receipt of two despatches from William Taylour Thomson, Her Majesty's Chargé d'Affaires at the Court of Persia, dated 14 and 15 November respectively. Kemball encloses a copy of a communication to Bombay (not included), which he sent upon receiving the despatches. Kemball states that William Taylour Thomson's packet has been sent to Bombay on board the Dwarka , a merchant steamer.
