Letter regarding Pelly having been sent to Zanzibar with Sir Bartle Frere and enquiring whether the Sultan [Barghash bin Sa‘īd Āl Bū Sa‘īd] has changed much since they last saw him in Bombay.

The letter also discusses Frere's work in Mauritius and the possibility of meeting Pelly in England.
