Report, mostly likely written by Doctor James William Moore, Doctor to the Rajputana [Rājasthān] Agency An office of the East India Company and, later, of the British Raj, headed by an agent. regarding the death of Sir Takht Singh, Maharaja of Jodhpur, who died on 13 February 1873, and describing his last weeks including treatments given to him by himself, as well as those given by native doctors and Priests and other religious men.
The account also describes visitors to the Maharaja; the various places he was moved to during his illness; the reactions of various family members; the Maharaja's last wishes with regards to both family and his responsibilities as ruler; and various superstitions enacted by his relatives.
