Letter forwarding a copy of the statement of offences against His Highness Mulhar Rao [Malharrao] Guikwar [Gaekwad] which will be investigated by a special commission and requesting that Pelly send a copy of the depositions and charges to His Highness along with a copy of the statement made by the Government of India.

The letter goes on to state that the Bombay Government and Advocate General at Bombay [Andrew Richard Scoble] will be arranging the prosecution of the case and requests that Pelly write directly to the Advocate General to inform him of the notices given to His Highness thus far. The letter also notes that as these are political and not legal proceedings the use of legal terms is to be avoided and popular expressions should be used instead.
