Letter regarding letter No 150 A P which explains the nature of the enquiry that the commission will be undertaking and stating that general political questions regarding Baroda will be irrelevant to it. The letter also states that references to any such questions, or production of documents relating to them should be avoided and should not be submitted to the commission.
The letter concludes by stating that a letter, written by the Guikwar [Gaekwar] to the Viceroy, dated 2 November 1874, in which he applies for the removal of Colonel Phayre, would be relevant to such an enquiry and a copy of it may be given if asked for.
