About this record

Content

Telegram responding to queries by the Commission and informing Pelly that Colonel Robert Phayre's departure from Sindh has no bearing on the Commission and that the Colonel should be free to tell his own story; and that the commission should not show Colonel Phayre's letter of 2 November 1874 in order to demonstrate the irritation between the Colonel and the Gaekwar as they believe it does not support or prove anything, but risks introducing political or personal matters into the Commission which they wish to avoid.
