About this record
- Content
Telegram regarding rumours that Sir Dinkar Rao is unhappy and considering retiring from the Baroda Special Commission and concern that his opinions may spread to Maharaja Scindia (Jayajirao Scindia).
The telegram continues by suggesting that a new Gaekwar needs to be nominated in case the enquiry's outcome is unfavourable to the present Gaekwar (Malharrao Gaekwad) and that everything possible should be done to prevent agitation, mischief and intrigues.
The telegram concludes with the need to see native administration restored to the state of Baroda, asking when Sir Madava Rao is expected to arrive there, and requesting permission to take furlough for his health once the native administration has been appointed.
