About this record

Content

Telegram regarding Pelly having made a return visit to Sir Dinkar Rao and their subsequent interview in which it was determined that Sir Dinkar's desire was for his opinion in matters relating to the native administration and the succession to be given proper consideration and that he would prefer after the commission to become the minister at Baroda with Pelly as the Agent to the Governor General.

Pelly's response was that he was unable to discuss such matters until the commission was concluded, but that once he had ceased to be a member of the commission Pelly would be happy to hear his opinions regarding the future of the Baroda State.
