Letter regarding Mr Rozario's desire to apply for the honorary rank of Assistant Surgeon and Pelly's opinion that this should be granted to him owing to his long and valuable service in the Gulf of Oman and Persia and in Central Asia.
The letter states that he may show Pelly's letter to relevant officials in relation to the application and noting that the medical appointment at Zanzibar was still being considered at the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. and Foreign Office.
