Letter regarding a question raised by the Vakeels of the Court over the rights of foreigners in claiming compensation for loses incurred by robberies etc. in Rajputana [Rājasthān], and informing Pelly that an official response will be sent by the Viceroy but that the question should not have been raised at all as they have no diplomatic function, and advising him to ensure such questions are raised through the proper channels in future.
