oreetings ! I have received all your letters, and was very glad to hear that you are
well. And what you sent by the woman has arrived, God bless you and preserve jou
as a protection in misfortune, Amen !—Further : As regards the money for the {lire 01
the boat, my son Isa had spoken to me about it before the arrival of your iiuOimation,
and I intended to pay it; but when I learnt from the contents ol your letter that toe
owner of the boat has money lying with you, 1 told my son Isa that if he were asked
for the money he was to allow the matter to be made the subject of a lawsuit
before us, and D.V. we shall do all we possibly can. Further, as regards ^ayid
Albahrani. I keep a look-out for him, but he has no business connections ; I never see
anything of him, he lives entirely with his relations. That is the reason for my not
having done anything; it is not from inattention. Further, we ask you to inform us
about the result of the exertions of brother Abdallah-ibn-Hassan concerning the red
oxide at Calcutta, and also about the second
namely that you wanted to sell the red oxide f ; so far we
have not heard how the matter ended. If Abdallah has been engaged in lawsuits at
Calcutta for the last four years, and has been making incredible exertions in this hope
less matter, and his stay at Calcutta necessarily costs money, and he requires an income,
what is the use of this long stay, as nothing can be done with the red oxide ? It
would surely be better for him to return and other arrangements to be made.
People cannot <^o on for years making all kinds of schemes and barren speculations.
Further, how about Ali Ahmed Salih's share,
share was conditional on his acting as overseer, now
ceased to act, and becomes the property of the 1 nope you will oe aole to
send me good news about the progress of my son Abdallah, after the unpleasant news I
have had! 5 Let us always hear that you are" well, and remember me to all the sons and
brothers, and greeting. My son Isa greets you.
- ABDALLATIF-IBN-ABDAKRAHMAN.

Nedjef wants from 4,000 to 6,000 rupees Indian silver coin also widely used in the Persian Gulf. ; I knew that Hage Hassan-ben-Semey,

and had declared that it was personal and lapsed with the death of Hage Nakhoda Ali;
for these reasons 1 declined to buy the papers at this high price.
