I am directed to invite a reference to the correspondence ending with my
letter No. 375-E., dated the 18th February 1895, regarding the escape to Sirri
of certain pearl-divers of Debai, and the claims of Persia to that island.
2. I am now to enclose a copy of a letter * from the Political Resident A senior ranking political representative (equivalent to a Consul General) from the diplomatic corps of the Government of India or one of its subordinate provincial governments, in charge of a Political Residency. in
