The letter is reporting that Prince Feerooz Meerza, Governor of Fars, arrived at Bushire on the 26 March 1851. It describes the Resident's meeting with the prince a mile from the town, and names the officers that accompanied him. It notes that no matters of great importance have been discussed between the Prince and the Resident.
The letter then outlines the progress of the enforcement of a couple of fines issued by the Persian authorities at Tehran in response to piracy, and trade in slaves.
