Letter including a completed form detailing British subjects present in Fars on 31 March 1851. Hennell notes that on this form (as opposed to previous returns) he has noted only British subjects of European (and not Asiatic) origin. Hennell also writes that he encloses a return from Commodore Porter of the Indian Naval Squadron, listing British subjects serving in the squadron in the Persian Gulf The historical term used to describe the body of water between the Arabian Peninsula and Iran. . The letter includes a table listing British subjects in the Province of Fars on 31 March 1851 (folio 6).
