About this record
- Content
This letter responds to a note from Bashere bin Rahma and states that Stannus has no wish to see his father overwhelmed by his enemies, nor has the power to take steps against either party. It outlines the steps Stannus took to check violent proceedings against the people of Katiffe [Al-Qaṭīf] and Bahrein [Bahrain] Kovcet and other Neutrals whilst awaiting orders from India, that subsequently ordered him to remove two ships sent to Damon and abstain from all interference between Rahma and the Shaikhs of Bahrain and Katiffe.
