(i) The aim of the proposals for closing and shading
the extensive verandah and open spaces on the first floor
is not fully understood. The

ditions, and it should be explained in greater detail why
it is now proposed to alter the nature of the design by
closing spaces which were left with a specific object.

er plinth area and more convenience at less cost both in
original outlay and maintenance,
(il) Teak would be appropriate for a well built house in
tended to last a long time but does not seem to be suit

or dovetailed metal lathing or "Etemit" or other fibro-
cement tiles erected on light wooden frames. Such screens
