arising out of the views he expressed at the meeting at
the India Office The department of the British Government to which the Government of India reported between 1858 and 1947. The successor to the Court of Directors. , he has prepared a new draft clause which
he would be equally willing to accept,
I enclose herewith a copy of the alternative drafts
Speaking for my own side, I am prepared to accept either
the original Kuwait draft or that proposed by Mr. Agnew,
although, personally, I would prefer, for the sake of
uniformity, to stand by the drafting as it appears in the
Kuwait Agreement. However, we leave it to you to choose
the one which is preferred from your point of view.
