Mr. Ballantyne asked for an interview to discuss
arrangements in regard to lighting and buoying and the
calibration of tanks at Bahrein.
2. As regards lighting and buoyiiy he said that
the Company appreciated the great assistance which had
been given them by the Indian autnorities ana did not
wish to press the matter unauly. But it was most
Important from their point of view to know with the
minimum of delay the position in regard to the light
buoy, which was the key of the present position, and
they would be grateful therefore if a further reminder
could be sent at their expense. I said this would be

Company 's reply to our enquiry on this subject had, he
hoped, made the position clear. They were anxious to know
as soon as possible where they stood, because it would be
necessary, if there was unlikely to be any nitch, to send
