The letter is acknowledging the receipt of a communication from the Resident, dated 1 July 1819. In response, it informs the Resident that the usual proceedings will be initiated in the Vice Admiralty Court for the condemnation of the Lingua [Bandar-e-Lengeh] boat captured by HMS Curlew .
